The Government of Andhra Pradesh will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gates Foundation, in New Delhi on Wednesday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will meet Gates Foundation founder Bill Gates to discuss various key issues. Both will deliberate on key areas of cooperation such as healthcare, education, governance, agriculture, employment and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Mr. Naidu is likely to discuss AI-powered health data systems, improved telemedicine, and support for low-cost diagnostics and medical devices with regard to healthcare in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, AI-driven EdTech tools, digital learning enhancements, and a national education summit; AI-assisted farmer advisory systems, precision farming via satellite data, and transparent subsidy distribution are the other key areas of cooperation.
With regard to governance, a centralised data lake, AI-powered public services, and predictive analytics for health, agriculture, and education will be a part of the MoU. And, developing AI use cases to boost productivity and job creation across sectors is part of the cooperation between the government and the Gates Foundation.
