Gwyneth Paltrow is very conscious of her 23-year age difference with Timothée Chalamet.
Which is why the Oscar winner made light of their generational divide as she reflected on filming her sex scenes with the 29-year-old actor in their upcoming comedy-drama Marty Supreme.
“I was like, ‘Okay, great. I’m 109 years old. You’re 14,” Gwyneth, 52, told Vanity Fair in an interview published March 18, adding, “We have a lot of sex in this movie.”
And given the amount of intimacy in the film, the screen partners had some professional help behind-the-scenes—a first for the Hollywood veteran.
“There’s now something called an intimacy coordinator,” she went on, “which I did not know existed.”
The Goop founder—who shares kids Apple Martin, 20, and Moses Martin, 18, with ex-husband Chris Martin—recalled a specific encounter with the intimacy coordinator on the film regarding the choreography of a scene, which she pushed back on.
