For all those who are now singing Justin Trudeau’s praises for how he has handled Donald Trump’s tariffs and insults about turning Canada into the 51st state, think about this: We are in this mess because of Trudeau and the Liberal party. You know, those bobbing heads in the background who have agreed with everything he has put forward.
Not to mention that, for the last couple of years, Trudeau has been dissing Trump because he thought that there was no way Mr. Trump would be re-elected.
Well, surprise, surprise, Justin. If you would have read Trump’s book, The Art of the Deal, you would know what’s going on now and why it’s happening. He details how to deal with people who disrespect him. The problem is that it’s not just our PM who’s paying for it now, it’s all of us in Canada.

Just one more thing the Liberals, under Trudeau, screwed up. There could be a book written about that, too. It would be a heavy-weight coffee-table book.

FIX INTERNAL TRADE PROBLEMS
My son and I were discussing the tariff fiasco the other night when he brought up a question about why there are trade barriers between provinces, and it brought back discussions that I’ve had since immigrating to Canada in 1974.
I served an apprenticeship to become a carpenter back in the U.K. Before moving to Canada, I plied my trade all over the U.K. and in France and Belgium. I never came up against any difference in the overall work skills in these different countries.
I am a proud Canadian, but I can’t fathom why trades people, nurses or anyone in other careers need to possess different licences to work in different provinces. What they deal with in their work is the same in British Columbia as it is in Nova Scotia.
To counteract the U.S. tariffs, we must change our trade partners so we are not so dependent on U.S., but first we need to change the trade problems within this great country of ours.
