
The finals of PALS innoWAH were held on Saturday. As many as 62 teams, representing 41 engineering colleges, participated at the event. The final is the culmination of a yearlong journey of innovation and mentorship.
PALS is an educational initiative of the alumni of the Indian Institutes of Technology for engineering college students. At the finals of the 12th edition of innoWAH held in IIT-Madras, the competition’s theme was ‘Technology driven transformation – Viksit Bharat@2047’. The IIT-supported initiative fosters innovation across Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
Students had to develop innovative solutions, demonstrate their creativity and technical expertise. Winners were chosen in four categories – economic growth, environmental sustainability, social pro, and good governance. In each category, two institutions were chosen.
Suresh Ramanujam, founder and managing director, Metis, awarded prizes and certificates to the winners.
