Special trains announced between Tiruchi and Tambaram for Ramzan

The Southern Railway will operate a Jan Shatabdi Express special on Tiruchi-Tambaram-Tiruchi section and a festival express special on Tambaram-Kanniyakumari-Tambaram section to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the Ramzan festival.

The Tiruchi–Tambaram Jan Shatabdi Express Special (06048) will leave Tiruchi at 5.35 a.m. on March 29, 30, and 31 and reach Tambaram at 12.30 p.m. In the return direction, the special (06047) will leave Tambaram at 3.45 p.m. on the same day and reach Tiruchi at 10.40 p.m.

The specials will have 2 AC chair cars, 10 chair cars, six second class unreserved coaches, and two second class brake-cum-luggage vans.

The Tambaram-Kanniyakumari Festival Express Special (06037 ) will leave Tambaram at 6 p.m. on March 28 and reach Kanniyakumari at 8 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the special (06038) will leave Kanniyakumari at 8.30 p.m. on March 31 and reach Tambaram at 8.55 a.m., the next day.

Advance Reservation for the special trains will open at 8 a.m. on March 23, a Southern Railway press release said.
