Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the new Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] State headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on April 23.
At a press conference, CPI(M) State secretary M.V. Govindan said the nine-storey high-rise will have offices and a press conference hall.
The CPI(M) has named the party headquarters AKG Centre. It would open the current headquarters, initially a study and research centre with an expansive library, to scholars and academics.
Mr. Govindan said the party would throw its organisational heft behind the government’s programme to make Kerala garbage-free.
