Up to 80 Teslas damaged at Hamilton dealership

Dozens of vehicles were vandalized at a Tesla dealership on Hamilton mountain this week.

Hamilton Police say officers responded Wednesday after upwards of 80 vehicles in the store’s inventory were damaged while parked outdoors at the dealership located at 999 Upper Wentworth St.

The damage included, but was not limited to, deep scratches and punctured tires, police said.

Investigators are reviewing CCTV camera footage and are asking the public for help in solving this crime.

The damage comes amid a rash of similar cases involving Tesla vehicles and dealerships across North America – apparently backlash against the company’s boss, Elon Musk, who U.S. President Donald Trump appointed to head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
