CRIME SCENE: Woman wanted for theft, assault in Toronto robbery

A 31-year-old Toronto woman is being sought in connection with a retail store theft and assault with a weapon investigation.

Toronto Police  alleged that on Sunday at 10:47 p.m., the accused entered the store in the Queen St. E.-Logan Ave. area, grabbed items and attempted to leave without paying.

It’s further reported the victim attempted to stop the accused, who allegedly brandished a knife at the victim and then took two more items before fleeing the store

Cheyenne Ouimette is wanted for assault with a weapon and theft under $5,000.

2 BRAMPTON MEN FACE WEAPONS CHARGES

Two Brampton men have been charged with 13 mostly firearm-related charges after a traffic stop on Monday.

Peel Regional Police said officers were investigating the occupants of a motor vehicle for a Cannabis Act offence in the area of Torbram Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy. in Brampton when one male occupant fled on foot.

Cops said after a brief foot pursuit, the male suspect was arrested, and a search allegedly turned up a firearm on him.

Police said a second male occupant of the vehicle was also arrested and charged.

O’Neil Vallance-Simmonds, 30, faces six firearm-related charges and one count each of obstruct police, fail to comply with a release order and possession of counterfeit mark.

Elias Ayala, 22, faces five firearm-related charges.

TORONTO ARSON SUSPECT SOUGHT

Toronto Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an arson investigation.

Cops said on Feb. 27 at 1:07 a.m., they responded to a blaze in the Coxwell and Cosburn Aves. area.

It’s alleged that the suspect attended an outdoor residential parking garage, set fire to a car in the driveway using an accelerant and then fled the area on a motorcycle or e-bike.

Police said the suspect was wearing a distinctive-looking helmet.

SUSPECT SOUGHT FOR BARN ARSON NEAR HAMILTON

Hamilton Police are seeking a suspect in barn fire.

Cops said on March 6 they were called to a blaze at an outbuilding of a rural property in Greensville in the area of Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 6.

Police said the fire was deliberately set and a suspect fled northbound on foot through a nearby field.

Authorities are looking to identify the suspect in relation to the early morning arson and break-and-enter and have released a photo.
