NO CHARGES IN DEADLY 2024 HAMILTON CRASH
Investigators have determined no charges will be laid in a two-vehicle collision that killed a motorcyclist in Hamilton last fall.
Hamilton Police say, a 74-year-old Hamilton man was driving his Harley Davidson east on Barton St. E., approaching Barnesdale Ave. N., when he collided with a westbound Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 59-year-old St Catharines man, as it made a left turn across the eastbound lanes around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2024.
Police say the motorcycle struck the side of the turning Jeep, caused its rider to be eject from the bike.
The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
After conducting a thorough investigation, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit determined the Jeep Cherokee driver was not at fault and no charges will be pursued.
