Folks usually raise the roof during St. Patrick’s Day festivities, not fall through it.

That’s what happened inside a legendary Toronto bar one day before the big annual Irish holiday.

Video footage shows a young man falling through a skylight during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Madison Avenue Pub, a popular University of Toronto hangout in the Annex neighbourhood.

The reveller, decked out in a green T-shirt, bursts through the skylight and drops some 15 feet through the air, grazing the shoulder of another patron before landing on a pair of empty stools. Due to the sudden impact, his right sneaker is sent flying.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m.

Toronto musician Craig “Duke” McRae was in the middle of performing an acoustic rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams when the man came hurtling through the roof.

Luck of the Irish or otherwise, the fallen partier appeared unfazed as he got up and, apparently free of any injuries, bolted from the room.

“What the f— was that?” McRae says in the video, guitar in hand and seemingly speaking for everyone who witnessed the bizarre incident.

The footage was posted to TikTok where it went viral with more than 1.7 million views.

Officials from the storied Toronto pub have so far not released any public statement about the incident.

According to the Toronto Star, the Madison was founded in 1983. It consists of three cojoined Victorian mansions and includes several interconnected bars and outdoor patios.
